I handed out two of those new patches in Kentucky yesterday, it wasn't easy but they persisted. I may have to schedule a road trip in February...

Last call!
Only two spots left as of today. Don't miss out on a great opportunity to spend a weekend learning marksmanship and heritage. The shoot will be outdoors with a building to warm up in (if needed).
How will your equipment work in the winter?
How will you react to the winter weather?
This will be Michigan's FIRST winterseed and probably the only chance to get the NEW winterseed patch this year. BTW, who will be the first person to earn the Winterseed patch on Michigan soil? Sounds to me like bragging rites for some time to come.
Get off that couch and just do it! You won't regret it.

No. There are other things going on at the Club that preclude the use of the rifle range for anything on Sunday.

It is reserved for the October Appleseed though.

DON'T HESITATE, THERE ARE ONLY FOUR SPOTS LEFT for the first Michigan Winterseed.
How will you react when required to put shots on target in cold conditions? Learn how your equipment will react in cold weather.
BTW, we have a really nice building to warm up in. (don't tell the guys in Illinois)
You won't regret it. Sign up today.
If you have any questions feel free to P.M. me.

All right guys I am signed up for the winterseed on Saturday. What distance are we shooting at. Are we using the rifle or pistol range and what targets are we using?
Thanks

(disclaimer) I'm just a participant.. but I think you will find this helpful:

http://appleseedshoot.blogspot.com/2008/03/aqt-targets.html

http://appleseedshoot.blogspot.com/2008/03/red-coats.html

http://appleseedshoot.blogspot.com/2008/03/real-scoop-on-what-to-bring.html

Targets should be setup for 25m. Much of Sat. will likely be spent on 1 squares on a grid. Expect time on some history, and watching demonstration of sling use, positioning, NPOA, ect,. Sunday is primarily AQT's in the afternoon. Each appleseed takes a somewhat unique personality and the wonderful IITs and shoot-boss will adjust as such.

(disclaimer) I'm not a participant.... I am just a club member that knows what is going on at the club. The PISTOL RANGES are reserved for this event, There are conflicting events going on that preclude the use of the rifle range for that weekend.

If you look on the LCSC Calendar (http://www.lapeersportsmens.org/cal/feb.htm), you can see that the pistol ranges are "closed" for this event. That "closed" notation means that the facility is in use for that event.

Well, you missed out on preregistration which would guarantee you a spot on the line.... If your kicking yourself and still want to shoot the FIRST WINTERSEED in Michigan you might get in by showing up on saturday at 8:30. I can NOT guarantee it but there might be room for TWO more.
There is a $10 penalty for not registering. If you show up we will do everything we can to get you in.

I will Let Superheat and intheburbs answer Officially but I was under the impression that LCSC would be the Goto place for Winterseeds in Michigan. Not to say that there won't be any anywhere else but how many have a Heated OUTDOOR Firing Line. We also have a Building with heat and Restrooms Right at the Firing Line.
Oh yeah and its a Blast (No pun intended).
Due to Weather we actually ended up having 2 Winterseeds last year even though only 1 was scheduled. Check out the Pics.
