PM, email, or call the # in the Craigslist post for more info. Looking for an AR rifle, lowers, uppers, or other parts, or bulk ammo. Thanks!

Updated Info:
Pictures are in the CL post and below. There is a small hunting cabin on 20 acres outfitted for a nice hunting retreat. ~3 or 4 acres open field with the other 16 or 17 being wooded. A creek snakes through a corner of the property and it is heavily visited by yotes, deer, and I believe turkey. I had a nice retired fellow help me wire a new cabin we are building on the property and he couldn't believe the level of animal activity he saw on the property. I have owned the property for a year and have not taken any game in that time. Large private ~80+ acre plots are around the land with respectful private owners. There is a seasonal road cutting through a corner of the property that is not ORV but does allow ATVs and snowmobiles in the winter, I believe.

My goal is to lease the land for particular hunting seasons or time periods. I won't lease the land out on a yearly basis because we are constructing a new cabin on the property and that would add complications. I do not live in the are and am only there on 1 day of the weekend every other weekend or so to work on the new cabin.

Your crais list post say's it would be good for upcoming rifle season in january.
When did they open a rifle season in january? Area is not even open to late doe season.

You are right my mistake, late antlerless rifle for private land is Dec. 20th to Jan 1st.

Hunting seasons and bag limits are listed here:

Thank you! We haven't and won't be hunting the land for a while so I figured I could find someone else who wants to use the property who has some AR lowers, uppers, etc. laying around.

You need to check the doe regs. There are a few counties that are not open and Lake county(baldwin) is one of them,
not tring to cause you any problems would hate for someone to make trade and then go and get in trouble for hunting out of season.

Thanks for trying to inform people, but this is DMU 262, which for private land use allows for early and late season rifle hunting. Here is the PDF with the info. This is Newaygo County, just short of the Lake County border. If I am not mistaken according to this document Lake County also allows late season rifle hunting on private land, too.

You are right, thanks for the info. I just called the DNR and 262 is not open for early/late antlerless rifle hunting. I need to check my hunting license to see what DMU it has written down. I just walked into an Orvis and told them where the property was located. I will update the CL post. Thanks for the info.

No problem glad to help. Was orvis shop south of baldwin?
There not the most knowledgable and sometimes seem to think
they are better than the average guy ecspecially when it comes to fishing the Pere Marquette, but thats another subject all together. Hope you find someone for trade. I might be interested come steelhead season( late march/early april).

yes, the Orvis shop south of Baldwin. It took them 45 minutes to print out my hunting licenses -- they must not do it often. Keep me in mind if you are interesting in staying in the cabin as I am just a mile or 3 down the road from the Pere Marquette.
