Out of State purchase

Hi all,
so im getting the itch to purchase more firearms. However, I spend most of my time in PA right now for work. Seeing that I still have MI residency and a MI CPL permit, what are my options (if any) to purchase guns here in PA (private party or retail)?

You would need to check with PA state laws not MI
or purchase the gun in MI and transport it to PA

Ok, it looks as though I could purchase long guns but not handguns here in PA.

I'm assuming what ive read about not be able to purchase handguns refers to both dealer and private transactions but it is unclear.
