There are several Romanian WASR 7.62x39 at the Lansing Dunham's. The single stack is listed at $330 and the double stack for $400. Is this a good deal? I know Romanians are lower grade in the ak family, but the Romanians are chrome lined which is nice. How easy would it be to make the single stack receiver a double stack? Probably just a metal file work, no? All that being said, my collection is without a .22 and Dunham's is selling rugers for $204 which is better than you usually see. Thanks for the help in advance.

p.s. They were made in 1983 and don't look like they've had more than 100 rounds through them. 90% condition.

They often put the double stacks on sale for $369 or so. Almost every weekend, although they've been absent from the sales flyer for the last couple weeks.

Depends on your wallet and metalwork skills. Some will agree that's it's easy-peasy, others with lesser skills might think the $50-$60 savings isn't worth the risk of screwing up the job and throwing $300 out the window because the receiver is ruined by misgrinding.
