The sear gave out on my colt, so I bought a kit from cylinder and slide.

The pull is pretty light, lighter than my Kimber, but it is "mushy", not crisp. Is that the series 80 feeling?

No, this is not that series 80 feeling. Check the sear spring it might need more tension.

Is this a "drop in kit"?

Greg, If you get out to my side of town I would be more than happy to fix you up with a good trigger job.

Yes, a drop in kit. Hammer, sear, disconnector, main spring, and sear spring.

I have only dropped the hammer a few times, dry. I will run a hundred through it and see how it feels.

I appreciate the offer. I may be in touch.

As I'm sure you know "drop in" means it may drop in.

Sear springs sometimes need a little tweaking

You could also try it with the old sear spring.
