Not looking forward to shooting with Gary?

Good to see you Brad & Jordan. Great match, lots of fun and met lots of good folks. Weather was perfectt, lots of stuff on vendors row to spend your money on and good exercise walking to and from the ranges.

Did any of you make it into the Presidents 1000?

I about made it into the First aid Tent, too much walking on my bad knee,

But as John said, it was time with great people.

I think the only way I'll ever medal is if I start using a shooting coat and all that other stuff the good shooters use.

But even though my scores were bad, it was a lot of fun. We shot with a couple of great guys from Missouri and met some old friends from last year.

Were already making plans for next year. If you haven’t gone you need to plan on it for next year. There are CMP shoots at CCRC and many other clubs every month to get your practice in.

It’s really amazing how smooth the matches go with 140 people shooting at once. The CMP puts on a great show.

Just the Springfield and the Garand matches.

Nah, I'd have went despite Gary.. :)

I'll be sure to get up to some of the CCRC shoots this year..give me a nudge if you think about it. I get wrapped up in other stuff and forget about it sometimes.

John, it was nice to see you as well. We had a blast. Jordan (in his usual teenage contraryness) finally said last night he's looking forward to next year. I shot well enough(241) that I'm actually going to set the goal of medaling next year. The cut is 260.

I made some purchases on vendors row, talked to a bunch of great people from all over the country and had a lot oof fun. Jordan and i will be trying the EIC match next year. I looked at Springfields and Enfields but don't know enough about them to make a wise decision on a good one. If someone wants to make a trip to Port Clinton sometime, I'd be happy to drive in return for some sage advice.

Looks like it's going to turn into a multiple match trip for us next year

Here's a couple pictures. The first is Jordan on the firing line.

Everyone takes their turn in the pits. Here's me between servicing targets.
