(multiple choice okay)

1. Personal protection when off-duty.
2. Required equipment when on-duty.

You don't have an "All of the above" selection.

I think having an "all of the above" option in a poll where multiple choices can be made (all options can be selected) is redundant.

Why would you own a gun for work?
(The answer should be among the options)
competitively any more but all of the other reasons are valid. I own guns not least because I like them; they are most often elegante mechanisms (though a PIC .22 Short is somewhat below parr).

(The answer should be among the options)So we can point it at people for no apparent reason and hide behind our badges ...
Work = Police, PI, Probation Officer, DNR, Crack Dealer ...

.22 short is great for small game. I've taken many rabbits and squirrals with a .22 short.

Didn't know it was multiple choice. All of the above would have been my pick.

complaining about the caliber Mike, I was belittling a pot-metal, junk gun from the fifties. It could only be made in a caliber that would not stress the frame and they did not think that CB or BB Caps would sell in the US.
I like the .22 Short.

all of the above.....started owning them for hunting and plinking then moved to collecting and now for personal protection. All that took about 15 years.

Mostly for hunting.
But one never knows what goblins are around and what they might do so have to keep for protection also.
Smart A.. answer would be " Cause I can na na na boo boo "

1, 2, & 4.
I don't have anything of collector value (yet).
Only competition I do is trying to beat my last score at trap.

All of the above. I'm restarting purchase handguns again after quite a few years of being out of the game and plan on taking my CCW test in January at a Instructor named William Peters in Dryden Michigan.
Does anyone have any experiance with his class or his reputation?
Thanks

I think you left off the most important reason to own a gun.
Because I can!
