Need youth bow advice

Step-son is going on 9 and I am looking to get him a bow so we can both shoot (I have a PSE Firestorm) at our place up north. His track record for sticking to something is not that great, so I don't want to bite too much off in case it becomes another wasted attempt. I've seen the PSE Nova and the Golden Eagle Brave for $30-$40 range, but would be able to go a little higher if someone has a better one their kid has grown out of. He is right handed (but may be left eye dominant -- something we will tackle further as time goes on).

Any advice?
