I recently was pointed in the direction of Dan at Zlogonje Gunleathers, at http://www.zlogonje.com when trying to find a good OWB leather mag holder for my spare M&P45C mag. He is a one man operation located in Cleveland, OH. Dan's got a day job, and does this for fun. It took me a second to get a grasp of Dan's website, but after viewing some of his work, I sent him an email straightaway.

Communication with Dan is excellent. He sends emails to me at least once a day, sometimes more than once. He also knows computer etiquette -- like how to type words out. I'm sure most of you have run into one or two gunleather guys who email like they were born 80 years before computers were invented. I don't hold it against them, but it makes communication hard sometimes. I had a few concerns like color that I voiced to Dan, but in one email he was able to pick out a color that would suit me.

Turn over time: This was the initial reason I emailed him. I wanted a mag holder made from custom work, not production. This can take WEEKS for some guys -- not for Dan. He told me he could do it over the weekend. Wow, a guy that was willing to take time out of his weekend to help me out. That's great! I was impressed, and started working out all the details soon after. With just a few questions, Dan was set with the info making my mag holder.

One other thing I was impressed with was that Dan took pictures without me asking before he sent it out to show me the product. I was not expecting this, and it was great to see it before he sent it out. I've put these pictures below. As you can see, these are not half-hazard iPhone 4 pictures. These are properly framed, properly exposed photographs. He even complained that he missed the optimal lighting! :score: +1

So in the end, how was it? The mag holder turned out fantastic. It functions just as well as it looks -- incredible. I began emailing Dan on July 8th, and on July 15th the mag holder was on my doorstep. It took him 7 days from receiving my request, to figuring out the color and configuration I wanted, to making it, and shipping it, AND having USPS deliver it to my door.

I'm a happy camper!

Here are the pictures he sent me:
