The Copper Pickle in Howell features family style polish dinners one Sunday per month at 4:00 p.m. The April 9 dinner features a Pierogie Fest and the dinner menu will include the following.

Polish Dill Pickle Soup
Pierogies (Meat, Potato, Cheddar)
Kapusta
Kolachky/Cherry & Plumb Pierogies

Adults $15.95
Children 2 - 8 - $9.95

Reservations need to be made one week in advance, and have to be prepaid by cash or check. They have to have 30 reservations to have the dinner.

For those of you who don't know, the Copper Pickle is an authentic Polish deli that is extremely pro 2a and offers an NRA discount. They have supported MGO and SAFR many times and allowed us to have many meetings there, even staying after hours to allow us to finish.

I was thinking of attending the April 9 dinner, and I thought it might be fun to get a group to go. I've never attended an authentic polish style dinner, but I know their food is absolutely out of this world. If you like pickles, but you've never had the pickle soup, you really owe it to yourself to try it. I thought it sounded odd, but now I'm hooked!

Is anyone interested in going?

Sounds interesting if we get a group of us to go. I'm clear for the 9th at the moment.

Hehe, otherwise, why should I travel +/- 2 hours, when I'm 5 minutes from my favorite Polish restuarants in Hamtramck?

Second your comments on being pro 2a, and hosting meetings. I try to stop whenever I'm out that way. Unfortunately, not often enough, as I love their food.

Roger

Thanks, Roger. I hope you can make it! So far, we have 3. I just thought it might be nice to get a group of friends together and go. Good food, good company.

We need to pay by April 2. I am teaching a class the weekend of April 1, so those who are interested either need to either pay the Copper Pickle or get their money to me by March 30. I hope to see some of you there!

Cool! Tell them you're coming with MGO. As of now, they have 9 seats reserved for us, but I will call them if anyone else signs up. If anyone else is interested, let me know so we can reserve your seat. The sooner the better!

Send me a PM or email if you want to send me your payment Those of you who are in the Howell area, please let me know if you decide to take care of payment on your own so I can mark you paid. Tell them you're paying for the MGO dinner with Karen and Marty. I will be paying them and giving them a final head count on Friday, March 31. Right now, they are holding 10 spots for us, so please let me know if your plans change.

Thanks!

Karen,
Depending on what time I get done with the 3-gun at LGC, I may stop in and say hi. Don't worry about making any kind of reservation for me or anything.
