Waders ,wet weather gear ,decoys ,maybe a boat ,a Lab ,if married a very understanding wife .Your friends will disown you ,because intead of watching football ,you will be out at 3 am on Sunday ,in the freezing cold rain or snow and wind . The ducks usually won't fly unless its nasty , because they don't want to leave their summer home until the weather changes . A good life jacket is good if you plan on going out in the lake.

Last year I went out with Hotshot Outfitters http://www.hotshotoutfitters.com/
for goose hunting. All I had to do was bring my gun and enough ammo as they supplied the decoys and lay out blinds. I had a blast and well worth the $100.00. Make sure the shotgun can handle 3.5" shells.
