I moved mine with a friend, but it was only 400# or so empty. I'm not sure how cheap they would be but if you go to http://www.twomenandatruck.com and put in your zip code you can get a free quote from the location closest to you. We've used them to move ATM machines for us at work, and they have the equipment to move heavy stuff. Be really careful how strong the floors are that you are moving it over. Try to avoid carpet..lol

Contact Able Safe in Warren. They are THE BEST, hands down. Expect to pay around $300 or so. Two Men and a Truck have an upper weight limit. I believe it is 600 lbs.

Redford safe. They will check the stairs for weight bearing.

Able Safe is great. They moved one for me into a basement for $200.

Another option is to go to your local tool rental place and get a dolly that can handle the weight. Then enlist 6 of your friends and a heavy duty truck.

Better have steel toe boots and a good insurance policy :)

My brother and I moved my safe up 5 steps, and down 14 steps into my basement.

I will be paying someone next time... that was the heaviest thing I've ever moved. That experience flat out sucked
