From Delta Company Arms website RE one of their .300 BLK uppers:

"This upper features an LAR Grizzly side charge upper, which is great for use with a suppressor, as it keeps gas out of the shooter's face, since there is no charging handle in the rear."

Is there additional gas blowback of some kind due to the suppressor?

Always liked the idea of a side charging upper....thoughts for using it on a suppressed build?

Yes there is. Depending on the particular gun and silencer combo, it can range from "no noticeable difference" to "my eyes are watering and I can't breathe".

Do the DIY gas buster trick to your charging handle. WELL worth it, costs a couple dollars, if you don't have any RTV sitting around. Google it to see how it's done, not hard at all.

I get blowback with my unsuppressed rifle (mostly when prone), wouldn't even want to try it with a suppressor and no gas buster.
