I have been drooling over Rick's newer style belts for awile and finally got me one . They are nice and stiff with the two rows of stitching and they have a top notch finish which he will help you decide for sure what color you really do want , and very nice hardware , to make the whole rigg come together .
Thses belts I do believe will hold up as good or better than any of them out there . You can see I carry a bit of stuff on my belt , my Droid phone , Leatherman tool , mag pouch for the .45acp also Rick's , A push button release key chain holder , Then a .45acp in a R G Leather , holster made to my specifications with lot of help from Rick . He always has excellent ideas and that's one of many reasons he is such a good "leatherSmith "
Also he does not have a month long wait in his stuff unless it is something very special .

They will hold up as well as others. They are better than others because it's a hand built Michigan product.

I'm planning on getting a belt and holster from him for my 1911 I have on layaway. I've seen a lot of pictures of his work and a lot of comments from people who have his stuff and I dont think you can go wrong with Ricks gear.

Well... after a couple mis-fires on my order of 2 belts the "right" ones arrived today ....and they are top notch.

They fit, the quality is exceptional, and they look great.

My only constructive feed back is that they might actually be too stiff for those wanting to use a pancake style holster.

I'm guessing that the leather will out last the buckles (which are easy to replace).

Thanks Rick for a great product.

I'll be back in the near future to talk about a couple holsters.

While they are not expensive buckles, they hold up very well. In this case it's nickel silver coated solid brass. Most of us have a better buckle hanging in the closet on a belt that doesn't fit anymore.....well, just get a screw driver out, takes about a minute.

I'm glad you like them Mark! Here's a picture of them so we can show the folks at home:cheers:

I have a couple of DeSantis, Galco and other belts but Rick’s work is far superior!

Like you said to each his own. I just wanted the single stitch belts because they are in my view a little more dressy.

That's the great thing about these belts they are strong enough to be used as a duty belt or for competition but will pass as a dress belt you could even wear with a business suit.

Just got mine in the mail today. What a belt! :woohoo1: I'm glad I decided to go with RG Leather. Great craftsmanship and quality. Well worth the wait. Thanks Rick!

If you're thinking about getting one, go to Rick's website and follow the measurement instructions. I did and the fit couldn't be better.

Did you get the belt and holster yet? I am thinking of ordering a holster and am looking for as many pics as I can to see what I want.

It was just a holster , with a Rick designed paddle to hook over the seat belt . It works the way it was supposed to , my problem is that my photographer (my 13 year old grandson) had strep throat , then a bad cold . He was down for a little over two weeks . Then it just rolled through his family of five and they(his parents) would confine the family every time a new person came down with it . Well it finally got through his family and now I am just getting over the strep throat part and just have a real bad head cold . So pictures will be coming very soon .
VERY SORRY for the delay .
Oh and the holster works well over the belt of your pants , over the waist band of you pants as well as the seat belt , mine is set up for right hand driving .
#1 I pulled the paddle out away from the belt so you can see how it would catch on the seat belt .http://i717.photobucket.com/albums/ww173/Easyrider49/IMGP0378.jpg

#2 Another shot from below the holster to show how the belt is above the block and going to be caught by the block of leather (paddel)http://i717.photobucket.com/albums/ww173/Easyrider49/IMGP0374.jpg
#3 This one is up right pretty much how it would be in the car on the seat belt , with the gun in the holster and a body pressing against the seat belt it would close the gap up and you could draw from a seated position driving .
http://i717.photobucket.com/albums/ww173/Easyrider49/IMGP0373.jpg
#4 This I tried substituting a cheap black belt Kmart's')for the seat belt , so you can see how it can be adjusted around pretty much where you want it , low by the door , or right by the belly pretty much any where .http://i717.photobucket.com/albums/ww173/Easyrider49/IMGP0381.jpg
I tried antiquing this holster and went over board SORRY Rick .
#5 position for a right hander in full croos draw , this would be right next to the car door and your thigh , but still very close to draw from .
http://i717.photobucket.com/albums/ww173/Easyrider49/IMGP0380.jpg

They would be better with a body in the pants and all of that actually inside a vehicle . Hopefull soon !
Rick might want chime in with something too , that I probably missed .
