Always great to see deer moving around from a tree stand. For years we put stands up in early September just to take the kids out so they could see the deer. Great pic's bud.
Somewhere I have a picture of my daughter sitting in her ground blind with a yearling sticking his head in and almost licking her face.

I had a small six sneak in beneath me tonight. I managed to snap a pic at twenty yards.

I'm a week away from the bigger boys.

I never shot a doe. I know it is good management, but I'm a horn hunter.

Not implying anything....just like the meat .

What kind of camera do you use?

Never thought you were implying anything mike:thumbup:

Last month Nikon released their outdoor AW-100 16mp ruggedized camera. I purchased mine last week and I'm playing around with it.

Great little camera so far.

I let a bigger six walk this morning. I was getting into launch sequence so no camera shots, but not quite what I'm looking for. I'm fortunate to have good spots where mature bucks roam.

Just didnt want to stray from your post with the " you should've taken this and , because..." i dont care what you shoot or dont, as long as its in a sporting manner...whether it be film or harvest. I like nature pics and deer in the wild.................they are so magical!

I saw this guy in person on Friday, he came to within 15 yards of my stand but never gave me a clear shot or a good angle.

I feel pretty lucky that I even saw him, I have several trail cam pics of him but not a single picture taken during the day.

I stuck a wide ten or twelve point last night hunting a spot near Caledonia. He ran right under me chasing some does and stopped at 23 yards. I don't get buck fever much, but had to talk myself out of it before the release.

Crack! His face is dragging the ground and he tries to run. He manages to lift his head and I see him stop at approx 100 yards. I lost sight of him when light faded. I climb down and find a cracked maxima 350 with deer hair on the split ends. I'm missing 10" of shaft and a 85gn Slick Trick. I follow his tracks for approx fifty yards and minimal blood, then came the rains. I backed out.

Hit the same stand before light and had six does pass under me. I started the search at 10:30 and he wasn't at the last seen point. Time to start a grid search. An hour later I spotted him sneaking away limping bad on the front left leg.

I know I sunk that head into the ball joint socket. I found the bed he laid in and there was zero blood.

I haven't lost a deer in over ten years. Hope we cross paths again this weekend.

Bang/flop, especially with a 300gn Barnes epander.

I had a real big doe with fawn in tow walk under me twice while sitting up in my stand this season, but the 6 point on my camera hasn't walked out while I was out there yet. Still waiting... hopefully I get to him before Nov 15th.
