It's $5.99 for a box of 20 at aimsurplus.com Their shipping is fairly cheap. It's a M885 type light AP round. It's said to be NATO pressure big bang ammo. It is a normal FMJ with a bit of steel in the nose. I only fired 120 rounds of it, but it was very accurate, and made a good bang! I was using a Stag Arms Model 3 with 4X12 optics. I'm trying to find a good deal on NATO 193 stuff that isn't 2nds, and some good soft point. I can't find any good soft point 62 grain for $5.99. BVAC has 62 and 64 grain reloads that might work. 64 grain is bonded.

Yah the Xtac is pretty solid for what it is. Aim has some better ammo for similar price right now but for popping paper outdoors the XTAC works just as good as any other.

I keep looking at bulk XM193 but I've heard the "Not for Duty Use" stuff can be very ugly 2nds. Dented cases, poorly seated bullets, on and on. I'm not sure how to tell the good from the bad. I just want the XM193 because it frags better than the M885. I'm tempted to just get 500 BVAC 62 or 64 grain SP ammo and go for a splat instead of a frag.

Ok. A lot of the bulk boxes are labeled "Not For Duty Use", but most sellers don't say if it has that on it. CTD seems to sell a lot of both, but you need to wade through all the reviews to MAYBE figure out if it's rejects. I've bought from Widners before, no problems. TYVM for the feedback.

XM193 isn't factory seconds - who is buying M193 from Federal that there would be "seconds"

IMI is actual M193

I missed the IMI. IMI is Israel made and rocks. Actually anything from Israel is pretty nice. They make good ammo, and their Krav Maga is awesome (Jew Jitsu). I've really respected Israel since I read Exodus long ago.

when you say 2nds you mean reloaded? Lake City 62gr 5.56 green tip is great, but reloaded.

By 2nds I mean the stuff marked "Not for Duty Use". Normally in a bulk box packed loosely. Some of it is fine. But some of it has problems. Dented cases, poorly seated bullets, improper sealing. My brother had a box and it looked like the rounds had been picked up off the ground. He wanted to know if it was safe to wash them in the sink..:)

Here is a visual of what he is talking about. This is what CTD is selling.
