I broke the lug off of my receiver that the rear stock bolt threads into. I don't know what kind of metal it is, looks like cast aluminum, any good welder in southeast mich. that would take a look and possably weld on a receiver. I'm in Southgate. TIA

It's an old Savage 12 ga. shotgun.

Semiauto pump or single?
If you can disassemble the receiver from the barrel I should be able to do the repair for you, depending on the material.
Otherwise I can't do it at work with the barrel.

Lemme know.

Thanks Outdoorzman, I have the receiver out but I left the fire control group in and wrapped a piece of duct tape around it so I don't have to try to figure out how to put it all back together. I haven't been able to find a manual for it and a new receiver has to go thru an FFL. I will have to get back to you after the Holiday. Thanks!

What type of material did it end up being?

It was cast aluminum. The guy did a real good job, everything came out nice and straight.
