I have been T&Eing a couple of Raven KYDEX Cat Tails for about 6 months now,
1 -Triji TR24 1-4x on a DD Carbine
1-Weaver Tactical 3-15x50 on a GAP 300 WM Precision rifle

VERY slick little product, great contact area for scope adjustment, very quick
But virtually snag free.

These are not a catalog item, just thought I would pass along.
NOTE:

Contact Raven for MORE info./PICS

Cattails: they go on the variable power adjustment of optics in order to switch between power settings faster. Typically it is a ring that mounts around the magnification adjustment that has a 1" extension to facilitate a more tactile grasp of the magnification adjustment.

I'm still having a hard time understanding why someone hasn't made a simple one out of polymer at a price point around $20. Cough Cough....

Really it sould be easy to copy that in plastic. Maybe China Airsoft is the answer.

For the record, we don't really make these often, and they are not a production item.

They are a bitch to hand form, and the most popular scope for these (TR24) has an angled adjustment knob which makes it difficult to get the cattail to stay in place.

Custom forming them by hand is a major outlay in buying scopes to sell an item people want to pay $10 for, and having them injection molded is going to run $80k per model for American made tooling. Those reasons are why you dont see anybody selling cheap polymer versions.
