Just a few short videos we did over the weekend.

ETA: With so many questions (PM's) about the sub super thing, I chose to re-shoot the video with 300 Blackout subsonics.., I will bump it to the top when I get that video done. (I also have a 300 BLK in a 16" rifle, will try and get that in there too)

Have you tried subsonics through your 300 BLK? Sounded like supersonics in the vid.

Those are indeed supersonic rounds, I have some 220gr and 175gr projectiles arriving this week, and then I will be working up some subsonic loads for it.

The rifle still seemed loud but I guess its a lot less than no can, I had a higher expectation for the price of the rifle suppressors.

The closest you can get to what you "hear" in most movies and TV is with firing subsonic rounds or a .22rimfire thru the pistol (again subsonic)

Most of what you are hearing is the supersonic crack of the bullet passing thru the air (you can't suppress air unfortunately)

However, absent from those video clips is the BOOM, concussive echo, and Ear protection. :D

On my youtube channel, I have the unsuppressed versions being fired from those same weapons. Huge difference, and video gives some idea, but is not like standing there. (or 100 yards away)
Compare the sound volume of the hammer dropping on the empty chamber, with the sound of the shots (300 BLK Video, bolt didn't hold open on last round)

Like Mike said, you're hearing the supersonic crack. Here's a comparison with the mag half full of supersonic ammo, and half subsonic. The second half you just hear the bolt slamming back and forth.

Ok, finally got some subsonic rounds put together.
Still not the ones I will end up using, as my 220gr projectiles were delayed from the holiday mail schedule, but I picked up some 180's and worked up a load.

The following vid was the 300 blackout firing 180gr Sierra Game Kings
with a load pushing 950 on the chrono (they were closer to 1020fps out of the 16" gun) If I loaded some just for the pistol, I could bump the load up a bit, but they would go supersonic out of a longer barrel.

I have to say it is stupid quiet!
The loudest noise on the range is the 180 grain pills smashing the backstop.
Enjoy... I know I did :) :)

Very cool!

How do you like the 7.62SD? I ordered the n-6 with the hopes of setting up a 300 blackout rig in the next few years.

The 762SD is a great can, so far I have shot it with 300 BLK subsonic and supersonic, as well as .223/5.56, and I am really impressed with it.

The 300 Blackout is a fantastic caliber for the AR, you won't be disappointed, especially suppressed.
