That's funny. It's like saying I guess when I bought the replacement muffler packing for my motorcycle mufflers I was breaking the law... I didn't buy that brand, but I did buy generic copper pan scrubbers to use as packing material... I used to use heavy steel wool, but it burned up too quickly. The copper stuff lasts much longer.

And some people want to give them MORE funding so they can hire MORE idiots.

jesus tap dancing christ....eliminate the BATFE NOW!

Why the hell isn't the NRA all over them....oh I know why...because if the NRA actually did it's job, they would be out of a job.

So,

Guns to Mexico - Good

Owning pot scrubbing pads - Bad.

Makes perfect sense of you don't think about it

...No, actually this is ****ed up even if you don't think about it.

Did any of you actually read the BATFE letter?

On a related note, Obama is the anti-christ...

According to the letter, it looks like he could send it to the mfr and have them replace the packing, or have a licensed "person" do it, but he cannot do it himself. That makes more sense, still dumb. I didn't see the letter as a pic when I read the article. I'm guessing though, since he didn't get a reply in 2008, he went ahead and replaced the packing himself.

When you click on the link in the OP, the letter is on the left just under the pic of the Chore Boy.

Yeah the owner could pay an addition $200, and file a form 1 (hoping to get it approved) to replace a wearable part in an already registered silencer.

The inmates are truely running the asylum.
