View Full Version : Precision Rifle Match (September 10)

Match held at Centerline of Calhoun County (http://www.centerlineofcalhoun.org/) in Bellevue.

Range goes hot @ 10am. First relay will begin fire @ noon leaving a 2 hour window where shooters may fine tune their zero.

All shooting will be @ 100yds. Benches may not be used. Shooter may shoot in any position he/she chooses as long as he/she chooses prone or sitting. Bi-pods may be used. A front rest may be used, but must be a “soft” rest such as sand bags or a ruck sack.
Shooters may use slings if they choose, and may use a shooting mat or shooting jacket.
Spotting scopes are permissible during the zeroing period, but may not be used by the shooter during the scored portion of shooting.

Target paper will have 38 bulls. 3” black bull is worth 2 points. 2” black bull is worth 5 points. 1” black bull is worth 10 points, 2” black bull surrounded by red is worth 15 points.

A hit on gray is minus 5 points. A hit on red is minus 15 points. A shot crossing from black to red is minus 10 points. Hits on white paper are worth nothing.

There is a total possible of 350 points.

Shooters may fire no more than 40 rounds, and will have 40 minutes to do so.
No excuses, no mulligans, no reshoots.

There will be three divisions.

Light, Heavy. & Rimfire.

Light - rifle & scope weigh less than 11lbs -
Minimum caliber – 223
Heavy - Rifle & Scope weigh more than 11lbs -
Minimum caliber – 223
Rimfire - any rifle chambered for 22LR, 22WMR, or 17HMR

No 50BMG.


$20 to shoot in one division, $25 to shoot in two divisions, $30 to shoot in all three.


The monthly ACTS match will be held the day before this at the same range, you're encouraged to come shoot both. Camping will be available at the range on both Friday and Saturday nights...
Centerline will be putting on Steel fun shoot for pistols going on at the same time as the Precision Rifle Match for $5. The pace will be slow enough for shooters to take part in both activities if they choose...

A one inch target at 100yds with irons. I'll kiss your ass if you can pull that one off. :D

No, this is a precision/sniper/target rifle match. A scope will be needed.
