Just go get some Estate competition loads...they're the cheapest and best... I know I shoot at least 5-10 boxes of that stuff per week. #7-1/2 for trap #9 for skeet....BOOM!:shiner:

BTW- Wallmart does NOT sell Estate...that I know of. You'll have to get them at Gander Mountain, Cabellas, Bass Pro Shop etc.

depending on how many of us go, we might want to get together and buy a Case

That's good! Most sporting goods stores offer a little discount for case buys. Out here at Sportman's Warehouse and Frontier Liquor store (yeah I know) offer 5% off for a case buy.

I plan on coming, but I only have a 12 gauge with a big kick. Don't know if my shoulder can take that much abuse.

How many boxes of ammo would I need?

A round of trap or skeet is 25 shots. If you shoot 5 stand it can take up to 40; you'll shoot 1 set of doubles and you can fire two shoots at teh 3 single targets. So, bring as many boxes as you want. Get target loads of 7 1/2 shot. They are easier on the shoulder than hunting loads.

BTW, only 7 1/2, 8 or 9's at Island Lake.

I don't know if I can make the shoot or not, but I have a Benelli Nova 20-gauge pump if someone wants to borrow it. Unfortunately, I won't know if I can make it or not. It depends on work. I won't know until the end of the week.

Bloody hell. Of course I work that day.

I had a great day at island lake last week, shot a 43 of 50 on the clays course.

A good time was had by all that attended. Its a very nice facility, and not very loud at all.

We need to do this again.

I'm glad everone had a good time.
Sorry I missed it. Hopefully, I can make the next one. Currently I am working six days a week, but things should slow down in December.

we missed you Ed, Maybe after Hunting season settles down we can get some people together and go again.

I Didn't see Zipgraver. I heard he was going to show us all up. I haven't shot trap in two years, but it was a lot of fun.
