cant really see where or why this is an issue???

There have been, and probably still ARE different programs and avenues available to do the same thing.. The HAP program, and CRP , to name a few..

Also, if "hunters" ( used in quotes to be sarcastic) need to be invited, or wait
on a list to hunt a particular county... then, well... they are pretty pathetic..

remember the "good ole days" when folks went to farmers and actually TALKED to them? Maybe offer their services in exchange for the PRIVILAGE of hunting the farm... ( do a few chores, help around the farm, etc...)

But I guess thats too "old school" now...

Seems its better to just EXPECT a farmer to come to you .... :facepalm:

So 5 doe permits a day that are already allowed on private land are not enough:crazy:

That doesn't even include crop damage permits available if the Farmer has a DNR biologist inspect the damage around July they will issue 5 at a time if damage is visible.

:bs:Hey maybe they add another season to finish off the deer population in Michigan:bs:

I agree with this! we dont need another bill or anything written into the books regarding a hunter / farmer relationships. I do both and there are a few people who we allow to hunt bcause they dont leave the place a mess and remember to close gates and they do help out without being asked to do so. Then there are the slobs that leave there trash and carcasses in your yard.

Most hunters need to man up and ask and when they get permission not be a slob or think they then own the place.

but without this the state can't stick their nose in who you allow to hunt your land.

<sarcasm off>
