Not just once but twice. At the IDPA classifier when I let the slide on my Kimber bite me shooting weak-hand and then when I tried to amputate my finger slicing bacon. She doesn't suffer fools too well.

Fantastic evening! Thanks Gary & your committee for putting it together!

Can't add much, but second the above comments.

I counted 14 people in attendance, possibly a 15th later. Ten of us went out to eat.

Paddy, (I think it was him,) didn't break it, but was having feed problems w/my .45. Turned out it was the way he was holding it.

What was cool, is before we went on the range, everyone set their guns out in the meeting room for show & tell, handle, etc. The really cool part was all of the guns at each lane, so it was like a buffet, just walk up & down the line, pick up something, and blast away. :ar15:

Yes, that Beowolf is something else! Thanks, Mike.

I swear, everyone is several inches thinner and a few taller from Kay's bear hugs!

Great to see old friends and meet new ones.

I too want to add my thanks to all who let me shoot their guns. It was nice to put a face to names I only knew on these boards. It was great meeting everyone. Next time, I'll bring more of my toys. This was my first fun shoot so I didn't know what to expect. Needless to say, it far exceeded my expectations. Again, thanks to all. :D :D

Sorry we didn't make it up all. I was no where near ready to go at 5:15, still covered in a day's appliance slime. I figured if we couldn't get out the dor by 5:30, we'd just be too late.

Another time.

Gary, gas is probably cheaper than Fed Ex, I'll just have to get some brownies at a CCRC shoot this coming year.

Garbo
12-30-2006, 11:13 AM
Was my first fun shoot and it was definatly worth the time. Gotta love the "buffet" of guns set out for all to shoot. Hey Kay,, do you think they make those cool little handles for my .357??? Sorry we couldnt make it to din, Erics (dunno his screen name yet) wife had minor surgery earlier in the day so we were shooting on borrowed time as it was. Next time we'll S the S a little more

Thanks Again MGO for putting that together

Thanks, Gary, for organizing the fun shoot. It was nice to meet everyone. I appreciate everyone's generosity with sharing their toys. I had a great time. We definitely need to do more of these in the future.

Like I said I'll go anywhere for a KayL hug. Dorothy and I had a great time...
Yup, Kimber AND Dorothy got hugged. Kinda like 'mugged' but with an 'h'.

Got many more before the night was over. No one was spared. All were attacked with equal fervor. And repeatedly.

Hey Kay, do you think they make those cool little handles for my .357???
Hey, no reason why we couldn't fit one on your frame. Just make sure to get the duct tape in a pretty color to match.

...several inches thinner and a few taller...
Hey, you guys need to squeeze harder! I'M not thinner and taller yet. What's the deal? And believe me, I need to be both.

Sorry we didn't make it up all.
So I didn't get to meet and mug, I mean hug, Pam. Next time, hopefully.

Everyone I met last night was warm, friendly, charming. There are some great people in this organization and I hope to keep meeting more as time goes on. A wonderful first fun shoot for me. I'm ready for more.
