Nope, Just bring any firearms that you want to shoot and just introduce your self.
At the moment not sure on shotguns.

I do believe you can Join MGO and a full member at the Fun shoot.

Just take a break from that honeymoon stuff and bring her along! we were at CQT over the weekend and it was surprising and great to see on Saturday night how many couples came out to shoot for a "date night"

If you have extra ammo you can... Bring any handguns that you want to shoot and share as well..

I will bring a hole slue of hand guns like normal. Maybe some cowboy guns, or some odd stuff. like normal. I always have a table full of guns that nobody seen at the last fun shoot I was at...

Since I've never been to Advanced Ranges I've got a couple questions:
Are these outdoor or indoor lanes? How many are there?

Just to bring up a point about the MGO fun shoots, for those that have not been to one before, in particular the indoor ones, it is a FUN SHOOT, shoot guns have fun, talk to people, bring somebody new to shooting out for a good time.

It is not really a time for sitting down and doing scope alignment, zero in a rifle etc. not to say you can't adjust sights, it is just that it has happened it the past that some people were disappointed that they did not get enough lane time to work over their guns, they thought it was free range time to do just that, function testing, no problem, but it is just not the time to try and do any serious “range work” especially if there is a big turn out.

Just a little MGO public service announcement so that we are all on the same page and nobody goes away unhappy because of a misunderstanding on what the event is all about.

Last fun shoot I brought my Mosin Nagant and they said that I couldn't shoot it. Then she said I could shoot a few rounds, but it wasn't worth cleaning it for a few shots so I didn't shoot it. I think I may be coming out to but some rounds through a new Taurus TCP I bought...hopefully it isn't a jam monster like I've read about so many of them. I'll also bring my S&W M&P .40 compact I guess. :)

Yes...just ask for "Bernard". He is the man in charge today. He understands that our group is "responsible" and therefore will not do anything detrimental to their range. Another benefit of hanging out with us RESPONSIBLE TYPES. Please everybody, set a good example as this is a PRIVILEGE not normally extended to others due to past transgressions. Let's be the good guys!!!

I am glad your son enjoyed it. That is why I attend these fun shoots. I like to go to help new shooters more then I go to shoot.

He was shooting really good. Drilling bulleyes with guns he had never shot.

Range went well and +1 to what Barrettone said: Advanced Ranges gives MGO a lot more leeway than to customers walking in off the street because they know us and they know we are responsible, safe and that we conduct ourselves accordingly. They treat us very well and I for one am very thankful that they do. But it is the good behavior of those who attend our events that keeps that special treatment going so again, thanks!

Hey Thanks to everyone that help make this happen it was nice to meet new MGO'rs and I got to try some guns that I have been wanting to shoot. It was a great time with lots of smiling faces and the smell of burnt powder!!!

The young man in the red shirt, I understand had not shot a hand gun before, after 10 min. instruction from Mopedman, came over and shot a mag out of my 1911 and just tore out the dead center of the bullseye, I need to take lessons from Mopedman, or get glasses!! or both!

When I get a chance to edit out somebody making faces at the camera, I'll post the short video, you know who you are!!

We'll be visiting you shortly. After shooting today and about a dozen or so malfunctions later, husband is now convinced it isn't my limp wristing and thinking it could be the mags. Who knows? :moped:
