Alright fellas,
What is needed to legally own a fully automatic rifle?(i have an AR) What kind of license, forms, stamp, tax, and other costs are involved? any and all information is appreciated.

Depends on the firearm but you're looking at...

Buying a gun or part which makes a gun full auto made before 1986 which is for a M16 style gun anywhere between $10,000 and $25,000 dollars.

Submitting paperwork to the ATF to purchase the above. For a machine gun that would be at least (if not two) $200 tax stamps.

Then if you're a square shooting kinda guy on the books you'll wait between 60-180 days for your paperwork to be processed.

Thats the 'short story'.

You're talking about the transfer from the owner to the Class 3 as the first stamp.....gotcha. Two stamps in that case. I'll pull my head from my rectum now. ;)
