When I bought this 870 about 8 months ago for HD purposes, I grabbed a box of Clays to try it out.
I love this.gun, it a marine magnum. However, after shooting a bunch I realized the barrel was incredibly hot. I saw heat shields as an tactic-cool accesory but didn't get one because I didn't want to mar the nickel finish.
The Halo has pads and nylon blocks to keep from metal touching metal. I put this togethor in 40 mins and it feels very solid. The only thing I don't like is the factory sling mount doesn't work and has to be relocated.
I plan on trying this out to see how sturdy it stays...
