I see 'em.
Great looking buff!
What are the details?
Was it taken in Michigan?
I have a friend that took one somewhere near West Branch last year. The meat was great and it cost less than buying a steer.

For those that don't see the pictures..............Took a nice buffalo up in Croswell today. About 1200 lbs. on the hoof and prime pelt.

Karcent, this is my second and I have two rugs already. But this one's so nice I'll have to have it tanned and maybe sell off one of the others.

50 beowulf 325 grain hollow point. Wasn't far ( 30 yards) and took out the top of the heart. Went maybe 10 yards and folded.

Nice critter....hope you have enough space in the freezer! Maybe I'll have to do that this year, I've been hunting my brains out thru archery, firearm & blackpowder seasons & I'm still skunked! AARRGGHHH!
Congrats Mike.

I think he had an animal available if your interested. Not far from you either......in Croswell. I can get you the number if interested.

Mike, Penned hunt or just a go to place and meat kill.

"Harvest" ............meat kill. Not really enough room for a "hunt". Only has about 8 acres for raising them. That's why he needed to "thin" the herd some.

After the shot the animal was down within 10 seconds.

just curious, what kind of $$$ is it to do a hunt / harvest like that?? How much meat comes off the buffalo?? I've had buffalo many times and have been considering plugging one myself. Good eats

There's no late firearm season in either of the spots where I have land. I'll be switching back to sticks for the rest of the year.

Mike....I'm giving myself til Jan-1 for the whitetail. If we get nothing, I just may be interested in the buffalo....if there's still one available. Believe it or not, I still have about 1/2 a deer from last year (plus Mike got a small doe earlier this season) so we're not out of game yet.
