Can I ask the trainers who frequent this board to let me know the names of the companies you are using for liability insurance.
A friend of mine is getting being charged an outragious amount.
You can PM or email me rather than post it here.
Thanks!

Both offer programs for firearms instructors- we've used both. They are both significantly more expensive than the NRA-sponsored carrier (I believe it's Lockton risk), but the Lockton policy does not cover you if you are teaching outside of the NRA curriculum.

I think most instructors are using the NRA insurance (it's around $400/year), but they might not realize that the policies specify that the insurance only covers them while teaching NRA certified courses.

That's fine if you are only doing the NRA PPIH class for CCW students, but you have no coverage if you stray from the NRA material. I've pointed this out to a couple of other instuctors who were paying premiums for years to the NRA only to realize the classes they were teaching weren't even covered by the policy.

Thanks for that info, Dennis!
Surprised that I haven't received any other response. Oh well.
