Appleseed is off for a few weeks in Michigan. Just enough time to let the brass burns heal. Then we're back in Bellevue at the Centerline of Calhoun range.

Great facility, centerfire friendly.

Bonus, by late May, there's only a 50% chance of snow.

Can't wait. I'll be there Saturday for sure and hopefully Sunday. I have a new LTR to use. Any particular hotel the instructors stay at?

BTW, are dogs allowed. I can keep him crated while we are shooting. He's been to many SASS, IDPA, & USPSA matches.

I sometimes go to centerline for classes, my better half didn't care one way or the other except for telling me how expensive shooting was for a retiree, then I ask her to join me, (she hates guns and won't even touch my guns for any reason ) well, you can guess how that went......until I told her I was staying next to Firekeepers casino which is about 10 minutes from centerline. When I go to centerline now my wife joins me, it's a bit more expensive, but everybody's happy. I stay at the Quality Inn 10 minutes from centerline. If you stop at Firekeepers before going to Quality in and pick up a firekeepers card you will recieve 10% discount for the room. No dogs, I think.

I will have to keep the casino option quiet or my wife will come.

I'm interested if the range or Appleseed instructors have an issue with bringing my dog. I attended one AS and no dogs were allowed per club/range policy.

While I like a rousing game of craps or poker with friends I doubt if I would hit the casino over this weekend.

Well, since the manager of the club always has her dog at the club, I'm thinking they're pet friendly. Her dog is quite possibly the largest Doberman I've ever seen. Very friendly, but I wouldn't want him mad at me.

I'll be Shoot Boss for this event. I'm ok with dogs, but they have to be under control while we're shooting. If you want to let him out while we're on lunch break, that's fine (as long as he "does his business" away from the firing line) :bs:

SASS will do fine. I have a portable kennel to use if necessary. He attends most of the shooting matches I go to and normally just lays down by the gun cart on a leash. I always clean up after him.

How far is parking from the shooting area? I need to figure out if I need to bring my cart and a canopy in case of rain or extreme sun.

Having a great time so far this weekend. Even with the rain this morning. I do miss bringing my dog. But with the rain and the expected 95º temperatures tomorrow and a hotel full of little league baseball families, I'm glad he's at home. Appleseed kids are much better behaved!

Applesseed was a great time in spite of Saturday's rain and Sunday's temperatures rising to 95º.

I was using my Liberty Training Rifle for the first time. The other 10/22 is a backup. I've decided to earn my Rifleman Patch with the LTR first. Then I'll move on to the other rifle. I think I'm going to have my wife use this one at her first Appleseed.

A photo of story time. A time of teaching us about the 3 Strikes of the Battle of Lexington or the individuals involved in the battle, usually referred to as Dangerous Old Men. Believe me, the DOM committed all to the foundation of liberty and courage.
