Product Review - Lazer Targets - Target Stand and Steel Plates.

After building several wooden stands for paper targets to use at the local club, I wanted to diversify our target options. Shooting steel has always been fun but didn't want to spend the money on the shipping fees. Another member referred me to a local start up called Lazer Targets, conveniently they are on the east side and I was able to test out one of the 10"x10" 3/8" AR500 rated steel plate. The plate has taken hits from .22 all the way up to 7.62x54 out of a moisin at 45-50 yards only leaving a small dent.

Being happy with the quality I ordered some other plates 10x13" 3/8" AR500, and several 1/4" Pistol rated targets 2/3 IPSC Silhouette, and 8" round plates. Laser Targets recently designed and produced a portable all steel target stand, the stand is set up with a 3 piece base and an upright with a head that will mount the plates at an angle for bullet deflection. The stand is approximately 53" tall and is made of the same 1/4" steel used for the pistol rated targets so it could take some abuse. At one of our recent range trips we invited them to come out and shoot with us, several stands and knock down targets were brought out to be abused, we shot at the stand intentionally and they held up well.

The steel targets are delivered in bare steel to cut down on cost and to give the end user an option of what color to use. I rattle canned my stand and rifle rated steel plates white and my pistol rated steel blue.

Prices are very reasonable. Aside from the standard square, rectangle, and circle targets; full IPSC, 2/3rd IPSC silhouette as well as bowling pin silhouette targets are available. They also have the capability to do custom targets.

i have one of these and it is easy to transport and set up, and rings well when hit.
i have only one session on it so far but we put lots of rounds on it that day, all at 50 yrds.

a few mags of 55gr wolf and mil spec mixed,
about 50 20 gauge slugs and some buck too,
lots of 9mm
lotsalots of 22lr.

the 55 grain bullets dimple slightly, but i dont know any steel that doesn't at 50 yrds with 55's,
everything else just took paint off only.
we even put a few slugs and pistol rounds on the stand parts to see what they would do and they left no damage, just took paint off.

i really like this set up, good work terry, and thanks again.

I have 2 of these as well-and they take everything they are rated for. Stands are nice and sturdy and they store away nicely. the rifle rated plates we could not break. Even the 7.62x54? did no more than minor cratering. 5.56 AP did the same.

I would highly recommend these.

I just picked up two targets from Lazer Targets. Seem to be very nice, but haven't been able to shoot em yet.

I picked up what is pictured below from mikee1973, two 3/8" 2/3 IPSC plates and two portable stands. Good price and I'm glad to support local guys. Will post more info once we throw some lead at em.
