SWR Spectre II does very well on a walther p22. Listen to the FRP (first round pop) on the Sparrow.

FRP isn't insurmountable. If it bothers you, just give it a little pulling gel and run it wet. Or just a puff of a cigarette before squeezing off your first round.

The ease of cleaning the Sparrow is the huge benefit of the sparrow.

Yep, I run a little pulling gel, with that FRP is nothing. The ease of cleaning makes up for in 10 fold imho.

The funny thing about that video is SliencerCo owns SWR.

With SWR's new click to assemble baffle stack, the Spectre II is screaming easy to clean as well. The Sparrow is a nice can (I've sold a bunch!); I'm just annoyed by FRP and don't like adding ablatives (gel, water, whatever) because of the mess. Yes, SWR is owned by SilencerCo. Why not go with their best offering!

Not really. Call them and tell them you want to withdraw it. They will refund your money in a few months as well. (Provided your stamp hasn't been approved yet.)

Another trick is to carry a Visine bottle of water and give the can a puff before the first shot.

I noticed a distinct FRP on my Sparrow from my pistol, but I couldn't tell the difference on the rifle.

FRP is minimal/barely audible with my Sparrow on a Ruger Mark II. FWIW

Medic21, where did you send your Mark II to be threaded?

Curtis Higgins, S&H Arms in Oklahoma (curtis@sandharms.com). He's been in the Class 3 sales and manufacturing business since the late 80's and has an outstanding reputation. Send him e-mail. He had a goofy phone system to eliminate spam-type calls that didn't always allow legit call through.

I am familiar with Curtis as he is THE MAN in regards to FNC conversions, too. :) I was hoping you had a local source here in Michigan rather than having to ship it. Thanks! :)

I have found that a small shot of electricians pulling gel stops any FRP in its tracks. Stuff can be bought at home depot and since its a thicker gel you can squirt it in the can and leave it, it won't run out so its there when your ready to shoot.

32oz bottle should last a VERY long time and its under $7
