I made a bit of an impulse buy yesterday. It was a rainy day so we drove to Gaylord, which always requires a stop at Jay's. I had been thinking about getting a pump shotgun to keep around the house and even though I had been leaning toward a Mossgberg 500, I ended up bringing a Stevens 350 Security home. They're an inexpensive import sold through Savage, but the quality seems good for the price. Got out to shoot it today and I'm happy to report it works very well.

This was my first shot, at approximately 20 yards:

The second shot was approximately 10 yards:

The third shot was probably around 10 feet away:

The stock appears to have a lot of drop, but it points very naturally for me and the recoil was light using #6 bird shot:

The light gathering front and ghost ring rear sights are a nice touch:

The finish on the metal parts isn't particularly impressive and will need frequent care (you get what you pay for). Otherwise, everything fits and functions very well. It will probably spend most of its life tucked in a corner for home defense and occasionally taken out to blast away at milk jugs.

I've got one just like it and so far no problems, 00, slugs or bird shot. And agreed for the money not a bad deal.

I was looking at this and a Mossberg 500. I like the looks of the Stevens but kind of leaning toward the Mossberg because of the amount of aftermarket stuff you can put on them. Nice looking gun for the money though.

I understand budgets and having to watch costs, but I'll never buy a Chinese made gun no matter the quality. The way I see it a gun is a symbol of our freedom, and it's an oxymoron to buy a gun from a country that doesn't respect the rights of its people, or ours for that matter. Not to mention them stealing jobs, paying slave wages, unsafe working conditions, flagrant disregard of the environment, etc. Wherever possible, I avoid chines made products. If they wise up and start respecting our inherent God given rights, I'll change my mind. It just doesn't make sense to me to exercise my right to keep and bear arms while paying a country that doesn't have that right. Or the right of free speech, expression, religious beliefs, a safe working environment, etc.
