Thanks for the great class, Steve. I drove through some fairly heavy rain on my way out and thought for sure we'd be soaked, but it held off and we had a nice March day out there.

I learned an enormous amount, met several faces from this board, and overall had a great time. I was looking for a class that took my handgun skills to the next level, and Steve's class was perfect for that.

To answer Steve's often repeated question - "What did you learn today?"

I learned that a Milt Sparks VM2 is a great CC holster, but an OWB might be better for a class with 100+ draws.

I learned that if you only hook your Fobus mag pouch over your belt and not into your pants, you're likely to pull the whole thing out during a speed reload.

I learned how embarrassing it is to come to the line without a magazine in your gun and try to fire said empty gun.

I learned that my Sig 228 keeps working the same after 400 rounds.

I learned that I need to work on magazine changes...a lot.

I learned that Barb isn't scared of Steve baring down on her with a AR "blue gun."

I learned that I'll be taking the 2nd level course!

Thanks for the class!
-Brian

OK..... So when is the next one?
After watching one of the videos on the SAFR board of Todd Jarrett, I think that, self taught, from the books, may not be the best course of action... I may need to UNLEARN some things. Might try for the MAY 5th mini course to use as a refresher first though....
