Live in the Wyoming / Grand Rapids area where getting a sign off just isn't going to happen.

I just want a cheap .22LR suppressor and the stamp already costs what I'm looking to spend on the can, toss in the trust cost and I personally can't justify it.

I know the ATF was looking to drop the requirement, any new news on any of that?

Thanks guys!

That proposal has been on the table for years. Still no traction at this point.

Ugh, I'm so annoyed with this whole suppressor thing lol. :(

I just want to buy a little $200.00 dollars .22LR suppressor. I can't justify paying $400+ for a damn trust, just to buy a $200.00 dollar suppressor. Hell, that doesn't even include the $200.00 for the stamp.

You could use quicken willmaker to create your trust for free. A lot of people do it and have no problems. There are a ton of tutorial that you can find on google

I guess I worry about the trust being done wrong and having it invalidated.

Although.... If I'm only going to buy a $200 dollars .22LR suppressor, I guess it wouldn't be a HUGE loss.

Then when I look into buying more expensive suppressors for my M4 rifle and or 9mm and .45acp pistols, maybe I can afford to pony up for a real trust drawn up by one of the lawyers here.

Anyone here done there own yet? Any comments? Experiences?

You can find Trust Samples on the interweb if you google for them. They are out there if you choose to go that route.

You should look up "SHYSTER" on here. I've secured several transfers with clients trusts that he's put together.

Real bitch is back in '34 when the NFA was passed you could buy one damn near any hardware for about $2.00 - ya $200 tax on a $2.00 item to raise revenue.

I don't mind the $200 tax as much as I do the NFA of 86. I've seen old ads for tommy guns in 1979 for only $750. Today they go for +$30k :(

Yeah SHYSTER is whom I would like to have draw up my trust for me but I can't really afford or justify $400.00 right now for a $200.00 dollar .22LR suppressor!

I think I'm going to look into the doing it yourself route for a .22LR suppressor then when I get some cash saved up to buy some GOOD cans, I'll look into a better trust.

Shysters trusts are SOLID. But if you do go the do it your self rout keep this in mind, if it works for a cheaper suppressor, it will work for more expensive suppressors lol. No need to draw up 2 trusts because you will just have to pay the transfer taxes again to transfer from the old trust to the new trust.
