Not familiar with the SBR legalities in MI - is it as simple as completing the ATF 'form 1' plus any fees ? According to this are any SBRs allowed ??

Has anyone put a carbine stock on their Glock? Leaning this way now vs the KelTec sub-2000.

SBRs are not legal in MI. There are carbine conversions for Glocks that include 16" barrels if you are interested.

Sure you could do it with a Form 1. It will be expensive moving to a state where it's legal to do, though.

You could always get a non-SBR Mech Tech (http://mechtechsys.com/), upper.

IGB still makes 16" barrels for glocks. Combined with a stock, you are compliant as far as NFA Rules go, per ATF 2011-4.

I like the Mech Tech but with telestock this is spec:

Telescoping Stock:
Min. 24.92 in; Max. 33.42 in

http://mechtechsys.com/faqs.php#b0

So as far as I can see you cannot have the telestock on the MechTech in MI since it is less than 26" ??

If you like it, I don't see that as an insurmountable problem. You could probably install a longer muzzle attachment. Or you could install some type of mechanical stop that would limit the stock movement so it could not collapse completely.

Just thinking out loud.

I had been thinking of the stock stop myself - should be as simple as some surgical tubing slipped over the stock guide rods.

Hmmmmm . . . decisions decsions !

No SBR unless C&R.

No SBR unless C&R. There ARE legislators working to fix that, though.
