Stopped by his shop today for some friendly advice for assembling my first AR lower.

Great guy as usual - he seemed as busy as ever.

One day I'll need to get one of his custom serration jobs done.

Many thanks for the advice!

To all the MGO members: check out his shop sometime.

Yep always a pleasure and always hard to leave! I go there to pick something up and 2 hours later I'm still there!

I don't know what you got out of it tripleZ but for me its the dose of Alpha male pheromones and the smell of cutting oil and the pleasure of having a cigar while conversing with someone that's not afraid to let his mind wonder while he's talking to you.

Yep,..I just wish he wasn't 120 miles away...then again MAYBE its a good thing...:)
It is always an enlightening experience conversing with Doug.

It's always worth the trip down to Doug's shop for some top notch work. I couldn't have been happier with my 870 after he drilled and tapped the receiver for a rail. I also gonna have a new 9mm heading down there shortly...

Great guy. I have been down to his shop a couple times and had work done twice on my 9. Once I get a new M&P I will be taking it in to him for trigger work and serrations once again. Very very smart guy.

Every time I've gone there he's let me hang out and talk his ear off. Great guy and a cool shop.

Glad to see that I'm not the only guy this happens to.. I figured he must think I'm some sort of creep. (maybe he does!)

I am giddily awaiting some AR work. :mg:

FINALLY made it over to ATEI with my M&P 9 Compact. Doug was very friendly and extremely helpful. Got one of his infamous trigger jobs, and boy, does it feel great. Can't wait to get to the range! Had my son dry fire it, he said "Wow, that feels good. Did you buy that?" I explained to him it was the same gun, with a trigger job. He was amazed. Thanks so much for everything, Doug. Well recommended and for good reason!

Can anyone post his shop address? Would he mind? I'd love to go down there myself sometime.

Just got my M&P .40 PRO back from Doug. You'd think being the Pro series it would be good from the factory, but nooo. Doug performed his majic and it's like I have a new gun.

THANKS DOUG!!!!

Finally got to the range after Doug's trigger job on my M&P 9 compact. Great Mother of All That Is Machinable! This gun went from being something I was considering selling to a gun I don't want to put down! The only downside I can think of is my ammo bill is going to go way up. Which actually will be good news for https://shop.theammoguy.com !:D
I can't say enough, if you have a S&W or Glock, it should just figured into the price that you take it to ATEI. The difference is just amazing.

I have the c9 too that Doug reworked 2 1/2 yrs ago. I wouldn't dream of parting with it. Now you need the baby brother .. the Dougified Shield 9

That would fit nicely on a business card as a tag line.

Picked up a new to me 9c, and having a FS and a 9c with ATEi triggers I don't know how people could put up with such a crappy trigger. I will be contacting you soon to get this one done too.

I have a few M&P's that need to go over to his shop. After looking at the Costa guns that he did it's easy to see why he is in demand.

Someone had their 870 drilled and tapped...how long of a wait time? I got a 500 that is part of my home HD that I wan't drilled and tapped. It is OLD. Prolly mid 80's..been Kryloned and plastic furnished out now for quite some time.

Finally got two of my M&P's out to Doug, boy what a difference. Totally transformed the gun. Could see the difference on paper. I could group within a couple inches at 10 yards before, but after Doug's triggers, I kept hitting the same darn hole. Very smooth, with good reset. Had a couple other experienced shooters try them also, and they were impressed.
Thanks Doug!

It's amazing how it changes your whole dynamic isn't it ?
But it's a good change.
