I am interested in getting a RONI BM9 for my beretta 92fs. This would be my first NFA firearm and I want to make sure im going about it the right way. My first question is can the RONI with a forward pistol grip be registered as an AOW? From what I can gather without the pistol grip is is a SBR but with the pistol grip it can be registered as an AOW am I right about this? If it can be registered as an AOW I would file a form 1 with everything that goes with that then when I get the tax stamp I can get the RONI and im good to go right?

never mind it would have to be done without a buttstock or wait untill SBR become legal in MI

I have a RONI for one of my Glocks. (Registered SBR). Sure is a lot of fun! Suppressed, it leaves a bit to be desired. (Gasses in your face). But still fun.

With the stock, Yes. It would be a SBR, which are illegal under MI law.
