I am looking for CCI SV. Online with shipping it comes to ~$50 per 500 rounds but I hear at Dick's they have 500 round bulk packs of it for $25 to $29. There is not a Dick's close to GR. Anyone know of an alternate source? I checked a local Dunham's and they hardly had any 22LR ammo -- really.

Keep looking online. When I bought my case it equaled out to Dick's pricing including shipping and I didn't have to drive anywhere to get it.

It couldn't have been CCI SV in bulk packs or that cheap.

My last purchase of CCI SV was 5000 for $254.27 shipped from Cheaper than Dirt. Back in March 2012.

Standard Velocity is CCI's least expensive target ammo. It shoots great in my Model 41.

There are two Dick's in Grand Rapids, One is in Rivertown Mall the other is on 28th Street between Patterson and 96.

I used to think that way also Tom. I would buy whatever was the cheapest that cycled in my firearm, still do. Without knowing exactly what you were looking at in Dunhams, it's hard to compare. The last time I bought the cheap CCI bulk packs (525) earlier this year, they were $15 a box as well.

CCI Blazer 40 Grain
1235 fps.

The OP was specific in what he asked for (CCI SV), thus, the link I provided. Without the OP providing the specific grain, I supplied the 40 grain in SV.

CCI Standard Velocity
40 Grain
1070 fps.

Some bulls eye shooters prefer the slow velocity CCI's for accuracy as well as consistency.

Once it was pointed out to me the many different types of rimfire ammunition that was available, and how many people are very specific with their choice, I understood.

I guess that would depend on which MiniMag you were referring to. There is sub-sonic MM as well as high velocity in different grain.

Sub Sonic CCI MM 40 Grain
1050 fps.

High Velocity CCI MM 40 Grain
1235 fps.

High Velocity CCI MM 36 Grain
1260 fps.

That's what I purchased the CCI SV for, to shoot RF pistol bullseye. I've tried Wolf M/T, Wolf Extra, and even some Tenex (which is what I shoot out of my custom 10/22) in the pistol I use for BE, but either I am not good enough yet to see a difference or 50 feet isn't far enough for the more expensive ammo to show its advantage. Anyway, CCI SV works well for me.
