I took my ten round and ground a piece of old snowmobile highphax/nylon to fit inside the spring and attached a thin piece of tin to the bottom with a flat head screw so it would go inside the spring and tin under spring and keep it solid so it won't rattle to limit to five round.

JDG:
I do not know and do not have my hunting guide handy, but does the 5 round limit apply specifically to deer hunting, or is it for all centerfire cartridge hunting? Also, what does that do to the guys with lever .44/.357 magnum rifles? Something to do with straight walled cartridges? I am curious.

Costanza

I know you were asking JDG specifically but a partial answer is that Mag limits only apply to auto-loaders (and water-fowl rules). Leaver guns, run what you brung.

I don't have the game guide handy either, so I don't have a cite, or what the deal is on other that deer hunting.

One or two should be adequate.

I disagree. The biggest mistake most song dog callers make is laying off the call when they get a shot or get busted. keep on the call and you have a good chance at bagging another within seconds.

Donzie:

I have to ask.

How many yotes have you sniped on the third magazine?

Imo, the only reason to carry more mags is to carry extra ammo when running dogs, certainly not calling from one spot.

We are discussing magazine capacity, not spare mags.

Excuse me sir. Please check posts 10, 11, and 12 before attempting to remount.

The way they are written, the interpretation could be either cartridges or magazines but in any event, your remark was uncalled for.

What remark was "uncalled for"? Also, I made no attempt to "remount" I was just trying to keep on topic of "AR magazine capacity" that should have offered you a clue for your interpretation.

I gotta admit, I thought the 1 or 2 comment was "shots" As in, if you dont get em on the first, you may get a second shot off.

Either way, it is all good. Alot of folks simply fail to understand the goofy regulations concerning center fire in Michigan.
