American Confederation of Tactical Shooters

(Combat Rifle)

Purpose - To provide a sport in which Civilian gun owners along with Military and Law Enforcement professionals can practice 'real world' shooting skills in a sporting venue that has not been offered by any other shooting discipline or association.
To promote the safe practical, proficient use of rifles. To foster sportsmanship and camaraderie among rifle owners and to support and defend the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.
Date: Second Saturday of every month

Time: 10:00am (sign up begins at 9:00)

Location: Centerline of Calhoun County (269) 763-2079

Match Fees: $20 member
$25 non-member

ACTS is a unique action shooting sport whose primary tool is the rifle. It is in a similar vain as IDPA, but rather than pistols, we use rifles, and we use much longer ranges. At an average match, you will fire 200 rounds of rifle, and up to 50 rounds of pistol ammunition. We test more than your ability to hit a paper target from a static position. We challenge you by getting you out of your comfort zone, and moving you about. We shoot from cover, while on the move, at multiple targets posted at varying unknown distances.
We teach that you that your mind is the weapon. The rifle is merely a tool.
Are you up to the challenge?

Well, that was an interesting match. Gary and I made it out there. I know I had fun and I think Gary did too.

Very nice group of shooters and as always, a great group of RSOs. The turnout was large, but the match went smoothly. Great Job!

If you have thought about shooting an ACTS match and have not, YOU SHOULD! The club is in the middle of southern MI. A few folks carpool it and it is really not that far from most of the southern half of the state.

The stages are well thought out and challenging in ways most folks have never thought of. A big thanks Tony and your evil helpers.

Second Saturday every month. Be there.

well I never thought I'd be handcuffed to Greg and then have to shoot a target after running a 100 yards. My heart was beating a mile a minute.

it was fun and challenging

Sometimes it is just fun to be me.

You guys do realize that I lay awake each night just thinking of twisted ways to piss off shooters, don't you?

I Just want to make this clear.

I did NOT!!!! Shoot the Hostage,

I failed to neutralizes one of the Bad Guys because I choose to shoot that stage the way it was designed not how it was amended because so many people were running out of time and scoring so bad.

Right Steve

I still had a great time

WAS THAT THE stage you did it on........ i see yes if you fail to whack the bad guy you lose the hostage too........ and gain that stuff.

trust me there wil lbe no more time changes or cof changes that has been discussed today at length.........

glad you had fun gary hope to see you back out.

I think Just about everyone would have worn the Cow bell on that stage.

6 bad guys 2 head shots each and not kill the two hostages in 10 seconds.

But Steve had 28 hits in what was it 8 seconds

I cleaned it in 9.44 with 3 shots per target...it was doable...

No age limit. We do require minors to be accompanied by an adult...

But Steve had 28 hits in what was it 8 secondsSteve is a Zombe, ah, no wait...we were shooting Zombe's! That's it:-P . 28 hits in 8 seconds!? Seems a bit excessive. I guess if it's worth shooting once it's worth shooting 28 times!!:score:

You can thank the stage amendment to Vinnie. It was still fun.
