Cracked corn will get them in for recreational viewing. You can make an affordable spin feeder from a five gallon bucket to prevent unlimited feeding which can get expensive at current prices.

In one spot I've hunted turkey before, we always would just stop at a farm market on the way up and get some corn and put it out.

Cracked corn as others have said is VERY effective in pulling turkeys and keeping them in an area.

Be careful of what you ask for.

Hunting turkey over bait is illegal.

As other have said, corn is great, as is bird seed. If you want to go this far, you can plant clover and other green stuff that will attract bugs, and the turkeys will peck in that area. We have done all the above with good results.

Hunting turkey over bait is illegal.

Never said the corn was bait for the turkeys. We put it out up north for deer in the feeder my former boss has set up on the property there. Turkeys just happen to eat it too.

Generally, the word "bait" along with "hunting turkey" within the same sentence can make a person wonder.
