Big Buck Down.

Dropped my daughteroff at school and made it to my spot shortly after 9:00. I had to cross a 200 yard field to reach my stand, but stumbled into two does feeding in the center of the field. With no cover and the deer feeding toward me I laid down to avoid detection. The two does eventually fed within 40 yards when I seen the first and larger buck chase a doe directily beneath my tree stand on the opposite side.

Another doe ran out approximately 80 yards and stopped. This boy was on her heels and he stopped upon seeing the two standing directly in front of me. He came directly towards me and turned broadside at what I estimated fourty yards. Prone position with crossbow I placed the 40 yard hash on his chest and let the arrow fly.

Solid hit and he dumped 150 yards later.

This seems to be a redundant reply from you every November. Take a day off.

I shouldn't mention I'm in the middle of my three weeks of vacation :)

Hunting every day two weeks straight makes me cranky :)

Seriously, I am fortunate to be able to take off three-four weeks off work, hunt great properties between here and Ontario and have a wife that doesn't gripe about me being AWOL two months out of the year.

I have several this size and a few bigger, but I'm smiling on the inside.

Thanks Mike. I didn't know you went with the the Telson, great choice. Suprised your already considering an upgrade. I almost connected on another dandy this afternoon, same field. 50 yards maybe. I drill dots at fifty, but didn't want to risk it. I left my LRF in Canada last week.

The 130 is more than enough for me. The only complaint is the folding stock. It seems to "break" open too often and the magnet is too loud when it snaps back into place. Bad combo for stalking. I will modify it before second season, providing I have tags left.

If I were to upgrade, I'd go with their Ventilator model.

Very nice big bodied buck! We used to see some of those. What part of West Michigan are you in?
