http://i602.photobucket.com/albums/tt104/Roundballer/Bumps/Appleseed2.gifWith the Bellevue event now in the books, there is only one chance for an Appleseed left in Michigan this year. That would be the Lapeer Appleseed on December 29-30, 2012.

http://ebmedia.eventbrite.com/s3-s3/eventlogos/28509/186802732.jpgI usually don't post about the Lapeer events until they are only a month or so away. This is to give everybody a fair chance. The event is about half sold, and we are around six weeks out. If you want in on this, just click anywhere in this text or the pic to the left. (http://www.eventbrite.com/event/2663790469)
This is the last chance for 2012. I know that everybody is working to get the 2013 schedule set, but there is little information available at this time.

I read in SGN that rates are going up in 2013, too.

I don't get SGN, and I hadn't heard anything about this, so I didn't post the first time I saw it.

Well, I was browsing the AS site and ran across this:

Appleseed Gift certificate (http://store.rwvaappleseed.com/page10.html), from now until the end of the year you can get a certificate for $50. This is a $30 savings for the 2013 year pricing. They state the price for a man for a weekend will increase to $80.00

So do it early to avoid the increase or buy a certificate now as a gift for someone later. Good deal.

The rates are being adjusted beginning January 1, 2013. I don't remember the exact changes that are being made but they will be available soon. The biggest change is an increase in the fee for women.

Correct. Heres the fee schedule for 2013:

Adult males: $80 two days, $50 one day
Adult females: $40 two days, $20 one day
Youth less than 18 years old: $20 two days, $10 one day OR one free youth per paying adult, male or female
LEO, active or reserve military, etc., remain free (and ROC holders until they expire)

I have to ask.... If someone were to purchase a gift certificate, as a gift, say for Christmas. And registered for the 29-30th Appleseed, could they use the certificate? Or is the certificate only good for the 2013 season?

Since itb hasn't jumped into answer I'll say, yes, if you have a gift certificate you may use it for the Lapeer shoot December 29 - 30, 2012. The Appleseed site says they are good as of now. So, I'm going with that. Please be aware you must present the certificate at the shoot. If you're planning to use one, make sure you have it with you at registration Saturday morning.

http://i602.photobucket.com/albums/tt104/Roundballer/Bumps/AQT_stick.gifIt is time to bump this again. The number of open spots is decreasing, now there are only 8 spots left. There are 26 days left before the cut off. The spots won't last that long Let's see if you can shoot as well as:

Confirmed - it is sold out. Looks like a family of 6 got the last spots.

Many more dates coming for 2013. Probably 12 events there next year.

Who is the SB for December? Thought that I may offer the opportunity for anything special that they may like.

I am. I'd be up for your "usual" demonstration, maybe Sunday for 30-45 min? Coordinate it with Hammer Forged, he's SBIT, and will be running the show. I'll be on the SB barcolounger. :-)

Good deal, I'll get a message out to Hammer Forged. The last time around, they (Superheat) wanted to try and surprise the group with my sudden appearance just after lunch. I'll see what Hammer would like.
