First Appleseed shoot of the new year is at Bellevue on 19 & 20 Jan.

Yeah, it's outside in the snow so no wimps allowed.

Bellevue/Centerline Gun Club is a great facility and a great supporter of the Appleseed Project.

If you want to learn the historical perspective of why and how America came to be, by the people who stood up to government tyranny and oppression you need to come to an Appleseed (now more than ever)

If you want to learn rifle marksmanship including standing, sitting and prone positions and how to sight in your rifles using inches, minutes, clicks, you really need to come to an Appleseed.

If you want to prove your mettle and earn the coveted "Winterseed" Rifleman Patch, you need to come to an Appleseed.

If you want to teach your children some new and useful skills, spend the day together with your family/significant other, hear some inspiring and motivational stories of the sacrifices of our founding families and have a heck of a lot of fun, you need to come to an Appleseed.

Ok, if you are a wimp, come anyway, you won't be by the end of the weekend. ;)

What type of rifle is required? What are the fees if any?

Any kind of rifle can be used but we typically shoot 400 rounds or so on a weekend. That means that a 22 rifle will save you a lot of money. What you learn with a 22 can directly translate to a center fire rifle. Most people find some sort of semi auto with a detachable magazine works best. Ruger 10/22s are very, very common, Remington 597s, Marlin mode 60s or 795s as well.
We are seeing a lot of AR type 22s on the line as well.

Fees are $80 for males over 18, $50 for women, kids under 18 are free, 1 per paying adult. Law enforcement officers, active duty military (including guard and reserves and disabled vets) and public officials are free.

I know that I am not Gary, but the answer is:

Most Appleseeds are two day events, but you can sign up for just one of the two days. Most of the best instruction happens on Saturday. If you can only do one day, Saturday should be it.

Here is the current pricing:

$80 - Men - 2 Days.
$50 - Men - 1 day.
$40 - Women - 2 Days.
$20 - Women - 1 Days.
$20 - Under 18/w ID - 2 Days.
$10 - Under 18/w ID - 2 Days.
Free - Under 18/w one paid Adult.
FREE - Active Military, Reserve, National Guard, and Peace Officers.
