Please come out and support our next M1 For Vet.’s Match on October 20, 2007.

If you don’t have a gun, we will have some available.

The Match is October 20, 207 at the Howell Gun Club.

M1 Garand, Springfield, or Vintage Military Bolt Action rifle are eligible for CMP awards. Any semi-auto military gun is welcome to shoot for fun. (AK, SKS, M1A, FAL, etc) We’ll take anybody’s money. No AP ammunition allowed. Ammo will be provided for M1, Springfield, (any 30.06 rifle). All the funds raised go towards providing M1 Garand rifles to soldiers wounded in the War on terror. This is a great cause and we can really use all the support we can get. Plus, you get to shoot and turn money into noise!!

See http://www.howellgunclub.org/ for details and a flyer.

Thanks for supporting the cause. This is our second M1 for Vet.'match this year. Its a great cause. Our org. was part of awarding 12 rifle to Wounded Vet.'s at Camp Perry CMP Games this year.

Rick,

I've seen Gary's M1's shoot - you might want to borrow one of mine. According to the flyer there are no loaner rifles.

More than your wife

Well, according to mrcarpfisher above, there are some available. Unless of course he is using that line to hook people, then yank hard, reel them in, and force them to shoot M1s when he gets them in the boat!

See! You obviously love M1s more than your wife. That's why you have so many. Jeez. Nobody listens.

The club doesn't own any M1 but those throwing and supporting the match will be glad to loan out our weapons, myself included. Mine has managed to medal in a few CMP games, including Camp Perry. Come out and support the cause! Look me up when you get there
I am good looking red haired guy!
