Does anyone have a recommendation for vault door manufacturers?

I'm going to build my own safe/mini-vault since it's more economical than buying multiple monster safes. I plan in spec'ing it to 2 hours fire rated for paper so I can keep documents in there also

Let me know if you come up with anything and where are you getting your specs? I'm building a house right now and plan on building a walk in safe myself.

Build it bigger and make it a safe room for the family also, then all your needs would be in one place.

They are experts in their field. I have bought from them a couple of times and found their prices acceptable and workmanship above average.
Last one I bought held 82 long guns and a lot of boxed handguns.

You might want to check out Liberty Safes as well.

Find a safe with the time rating you want and estimate the thickness and type of concrete in it. Or do calculations using heat transfer and the specific energy of the concrete to figure out the temperature rise at the inner surface. Basically make it thick and mix, pour and cure it properly.

The biggest problem is that the door's sealing surfaces needs to be fire rated. I'm thinking that 2 light doors will be the best bet. I'll be relying on custom locking inside the safe for actual theft protection and the doors are for fire.

Sturdy Safe makes a vault door.

I'm impressed by the security of their safes.
