Well I left Wednesday night, the day before opening day. Found out I didnt have a rifle to shoot, went to the local gun shot and bought a used one(its for sale) and used that. Didn't see 1 Deer hunting but still had fun. Here are my pictures.

My truck is NEVER this dirty.

I never thought to bury the generator. Where did you go? Although the ultimate goal is to blast an animal there is a lot more to deer camp that makes it fun.

Right between Greyling and Lovells. Down a couple of 2 track seasonal roads.

Yea it was amazing how much quieter the generator is with it buried in the ground. If you stand right next to it, its amazing how loud it is.

Once the top covers are on, and your sitting over by the camper, its just a low hum. Which is good because without the low hum you would probably forget about it even being on.

I have been told that a generator in a hole like that will suck in a LOT of sand.
Check it out good. Change the oil, oil filter (if it has one) and air filter asap.

Hmmm, maybe line the hole with a tarp then???

What your saying makes total sense.

But my uncle has done that with that generator for 5 or 6 years straight and never had any problem.

Thanks for lookin out though

As long as there is decent clearance around the air inlet, and a good quality air filter in place, should be no problems.
That said, Gigalligan is correct; change the filters and oil regularly, just as a precaution. (A lot cheaper than replacing the gen!)
