No, I don't get any truck driver calls. It might be your "generic" name.

I do get calls asking if I have a shooting range (no) and from people who want to join the police force/SWAT team.

I've had them call and specifically ask for the CCW or CPL classes, thinking that meant for truck drivers. My advertisements just say CCW Classes with my number.

Truck driving schools are a dime a dozen anymore, do you have a similar name too one of those?

My advertisements do not mention the name of my business. They say "CCW Classes 877-719-5976" and thats it. No names, nothing else to make them think about trucks. They are getting a CDL and a CCW confused.

It is scary, with all the people that are out of work, these driving schools are popping up everywhere. It is cutting the pay level also. Why would somebody pay for experience when they can get a "driving school graduate" (that doesn't know the difference from a ccw to a cdl)

Me personally since my Brother in law and his brother have drivin for 30 years and my Dad nearly 50 I would choose a professional over a fresh outta school kid. These guys know the ins and outs and alot of little tricks that a new guy would even grasp.

I only have about 12 years of heavy haul (11 axle) and 3 regular semi under my belt, but some of the new people scare me. You would be surprised how many company's want the inexperienced, so they don't have to pay them very much.
