I heard some other shooters talking about how much fun these defensive pistol competitions can be and it sparked my interest. I'd like to get more information and possibly get involved. I looked at the IDPA site and thought I would ask for some local help. Could someone please point me in the right direction?
Thank you,
Tim

Well, I was going to send you to the CCRC website, but I see it is down - someone must not have paid the bill!

Keep checking back to see when it is back up. www.ccrifleclub.org (http://www.ccrifleclub.org)

IDPA is enormous fun with lots of moving targets and some steel too. Set up like the theater with a stage and props, and a few drills also. We usually have 6-7 bays set up.

Hopefully there are a few pictures from last year's matches. We used to have tons of pix from the last several years on the website, but to my dismay they were deleted. I no longer take pix since we are also down to only one relay on match day.

I'm sure others will send you to their respective range websites also.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I'll get a membership to IDPA and take it from there. Hope to meet a bunch of people here also.

Just found out it's a network outage at the provider.

At IDPA, everyone is nice... ask Jerry.

I have heard they are going to start a 3 gun divison in Idpa or at least stages using shotguns and carbines.

Or, you could just get right into 3-Gun at LGC

Linden Sportsmen Club holds a weekly IDPA practice league. $5.00 shooter fee, you bring your own equipment & ammo. A great way to try IDPA before actually shooting any matches. Bring at least 150 rounds. Strong side waist holster, 2 extra mags or 3 speedloaders. Eye & ear protection is mandatory!

October - March every Sat. morning at 9AM

March - October every Wed (except Wed before 1st Sat of the month) 6PM

I also wanted to try this and they were really friendly and helpful to me and the 2 other newbs I brought with me at Tri County in Saline.

In fact I just took my son (7) to the last match in January because he was interested in seeing one. Again real friendly and accommodating. I plan on trying it again in spring.
